We purchased 119C Beach Road in Castor Bay in circa 2004 from Jeremy and have lived at the property since.
The design of the subdivision has provided excellent separation of each dwelling and we have enjoyed living at the property. The majority of the 4 units constructed at a similar time have had similar long term owners and have maintained what I think is a modern look some 20 years later.
The property comprises 3 levels with plaster over polystyrene substrate with a cavity system. And despite a prejudice now against such homes we have not had any issues with the method.
Having recently replaced the torch-on membrane roof ( which required removal of the plaster and cavity to 300mm around the entire perimeter of the base of level 3 to enable up-lapping of the the new membrane roof) we were able to see there had been no water ingress since construction. ( roof was replaced due to cyclone damage)
I would also add that a number of years ago we were building a holiday home, the building company we engaged visited 119C and they commented on the high end finish in such areas as the internal square stop plastering, glass and aluminium stairwells and polished floors.
I have found Jeremy very upfront to deal with and have never had to question his honesty or integrity. He is approachable and knowledgable. I think it speaks to Jeremy’s good character that he has maintained contact after 20 years that I first dealt with him.
